After 15 months of almost 100% original content, I post
ONE poem just because I thought it was beautiful and people
Would enjoy it as much as I did.
No, I did not ADD any 'original content' nor did I use the
#originalcontent tag (like I will on this post)
I DID link out to the original poem location
I DID link out to the original author... and still, after

FIVE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY SIX posts

almost all of them EXCLUSIVELY originalcontent
I'm told in disputes on Discord

"We want to encourage original content on the blockchain. This means if you copy something without giving attribution (plagiarism) it's very bad. In your case you gave a source but didn't add something original (Copy/Paste). This is still bad.
So if you want to simply share something like the poem you have two ways of doing it:

1. You decline the rewards in your settings before posting it. (I didn't know you COULD do that, nor do I know how to do that)
2. You add your own original content to it. Thoughts about the poem, an explanation why you like it, whatever. At least 50% of original content are recommended.

This one case won't ruin your Steemit account so take it as lesson, move on and do better in the future. I am sure you can do this.

@tsuseer even 5000 original posts won't make a Copy/Paste look good. I gave you some hints how you are able to share such poems without getting problems. It's up to you if you take them into consideration or not.
