Walk down to the Namkhan River and go for a swim with us on the last day of Songkran.
There wasn't one person to be seen. The police scared everyone away with their riot van yesterday, so it felt like the town was a simulation that forgot to load the NPCs.
I thought today would be another lonely day of exploring Luang Prabang without any human encounters.
No one will ever have an opportunity like this again. I doubt the streets have ever been empty for New Years before and hopefully are never like this again. It was a dream come true for taking pictures.

I've never seen Joe before, but when I saw him running straight towards me, I opened my arms and he jumped up a bit and embraced me. He was a great swimmer and was a good example for the rookie.
We had so much fun today. The videos came out great. I'll edit them and post tomorrow. I think we'll all remember the day we had the town and river to ourselves.
