Hi dear friends and followers. Been resting for a hole month, at the end, is boring. And I had to rest all that time because of a viral illness (hepatitis). Resting is the most important part of the treatment.
Thank God I feel much better now and I can go for walks from time to time.
Here in Cuba it's summer, and summer in Cuba means high temperatures, sunny days, river time and stormy afternoons. Every single day sounds like that, it is like a circle that never ends.
My neighbors daily summer's routine include going to the river every afternoon and spend some time swimming and having fun together. They always go back telling stories and laughing about what happened in the river. They are a mother, the oldest son and twins, the children's uncle and his wife and her little daughter.
We're friends and I can say like a second family. Since the moment they moved to our neighborhood we have had good relations, but now we are closer and yesterday before going to the river, the kids invited me to go with them and I accepted.
The first part of our short travel was in bikes. I don't know to ride a bike, so I went with Yisel in her bike until the railway. There we met the boys' uncle, his wife and her daughter and started to walk together making some pranks and laughing out loud.
I've been living here my entire life, but there are some place that I still don't know and never been there. I'm still discovering the place where I live with almost 25 years.
That landscape is such a beautiful thing. Lots of green, the sky divided into two parts, gray clouds coming and blue in the other part. Vegetation is exuberant and there are no houses around.
I forgot to let you know that right now, the river is the best entertainment someone can have for the summer. Prices are as high as temperature and there is a big crisis with transportation. The river becomes the most economic option for being in touch with nature and for having a plan with friends.
It is not a long way walking until the river, so we were there in a couple of minutes. Yisel and I sat in a trunk in the shore with the uncle to enjoy the view and to support the kids that were trying to swim.
Do you remember the gray clouds that I mentioned before? It seems like they had the same plan like us and went to the river too. Adults were paying attention to the storm and kids were playing and having fun some more minutes, until the sunlight disappeared and we started our way back to the town.
Suddenly we were running because the storm were closer and the wind run faster, but luckily, the rain never felt and we can go back home safe and sound, in bikes again.
It was not a whole afternoon trip, but we really spent a good time together. This was my firs time in an adventure with them, I strongly affirm that it will not be the last one. I enjoyed and breathed new and fresh air, direct from plants and heard the birds singing and did something different after so long.
