Hello everyone!
I just want to share simple recipe to you.
The TORTA MAYANA. I don't know where this originated. I have watched a video on Facebook which inspired me to do this. 馃檭
TERM: TORTA- in iloco it's usually a fried dish which is dip in beatted egg.
Before we start, Let me give you some overview to the Main ingredients, the Mayana.
*Mayana also known as CULEOUS PLANTS, but we call this DARA-DARA.
TRIVIA: (DARA in Iloco language is Blood, I don't think so what's the connection of that name on the plant.)
I never taught this as a food. As what I've said a while back, i just saw this idea on social media. We have lots of mayana plants, so i tried it. instead of letting their leaves dried caused of hot weather, we better cook it.
So what are we waiting for? Let's start! 馃檭
INGREDIENTS:
-mayana leaves
-egg
-flour
-black pepper
-salt
-cooking oil
Cooking procedure is just easy. As easy as 1, 2, 3.... it's not sensitive. Just make sure all ingredients and utensils are clean.
COOKING PROCEEDURE:
- Beat the mixture of egg, black pepper and salt.
- prepare the flour with salt.
- Dip the clean mayana leaves on the egg mixture, then dip on the flour.
