How I miss writing!
While writing this article, I have deleted a few intros that I have written as I want to write a good comeback blog. LOL. After typing a few sentences, I realized that I just can’t write the way I write before. Well, obviously it’s because it’s been almost 2 years since I left Steemit and I haven’t exercised writing more often.
Why did I decide to be back here?
When I woke up last Friday, I immediately sat on my chair facing my working station. I have been working from home when the Enhanced Community Quarantine was implemented here in our City. To be more productive while working from home, I have practiced morning rituals in starting my day and my work such as trying to log in in our attendance system before 8 AM, reading and replying to emails, doing the tasks and reports that our boss is asking me to do, etc.
But since last Friday was Labor Day which means a holiday (no work) for us regular workers, I just stared blankly on my laptop not knowing what to do. Then I began to reminisce the days when I was happily writing blogs and stories in Wattpad and Steemit. Realizing that I now have more extra time to do what I was fond of doing before, I immediately visited the discord groups that I joined before to see what’s happening lately.
When I was browsing through the different groups, I have noticed one thing… SteemPH discord group is gone. I’ve been trying to look for the group logo, but it’s really gone. I thought that it was deleted. So, I just visited the groups with unfamiliar logos to see what the group is all about. And when I clicked below group and read the general channel, I found out that SteemPH was changed to HivePH.
When I backread the messages, I’ve seen that several members are chatting with each other. I am happy knowing that the channel is active again. @mrnightmare89 was talkative as usual!
Knowing that he’ll reply if I message him, I immediately asked him a few questions regarding the new Hive Blog since I’m too overwhelmed with the latest happenings in the old writing platform. Even though I asked him lots of questions, he still managed to answer and explain anything to me. Thank you, Paul! Although you said that you really wanted to cry because I can’t immediately absorb your explanations. Hahahaha.
So, yes! I’ll be trying to write more often the same way before. Even though I forgot almost all of the basics in this platform such as the markdown techniques, how the steem token (and now hive token) works, etc., I guess I need to relearn everything. If I learned it before, I know I will learn it again.
I am hoping that this platform will be as active as it was with Steemit before. That the writers who left like me will find their way back here and will write actively again. Hopefully… soon…
