Our son woke up early at around 5 AM in the morning so excited about his very special day. He was so excited that we don't think he had a good night sleep the night before. But we were glad to see that he did not develop an eyebags for lack of sleep.
Just look at his smile when he saw what we have prepared for him, his cousins, friends, and classmates. The smile of this very young and joyous boy was worth all the troubles for preparing for him a very memorable birthday.
It was his mother's idea to prepare a bento style snack for his birthday and I think it was a great idea. You have to apply a little bit of hard work into it because you have to meticulously do it every piece one at a time but like a said, seeing your boy smile wide open was well worth it!
Even when his friends and classmates saw the bento snacks, they were mesmerized and don't know what to eat first. Bento box is a great idea when you want all the children to sit on one table. They have so many to choose from. They even started to look for what other kids have in their bento box and started comparing them. What they later realized was that it was all the same because we don't want the kids to start quarreling for food that others have and they don't.!
I highly recommend that you do it also when your kids have a birthday bash! They will definitely love it! :-)
