This is the last week of day classes for me, and I'll have a good two weeks off from school before the night classes start. I haven't forgotten about any of you guys here, I've just been crazy busy keeping

I suppose the neo-liberal philosophy could best be summed up by their rallying cry: the freedom to choose to own slaves. “But that doesn’t make sense. Freedom to choose is logically incompatible with slavery.

Today we've got the midterm tests for Printreading for welders and for Welding Basics. As it accounts for a significant portion of our grade (pretty much all of it) I'm actually kinda nervous. Which is

That's my dog right there. He doesn't have anything to do with this post, but he's goddamn adorable. So I've made a few posts about my welding school, which have gotten some upvotes but few comments. Right

So I know this post is late, but here are my welds from yesterday. We switched to a new electrode type, previously we were exclusively practicing with e7024's. Yesterday we switched to the low hydrogen

So it's not welders flu. According to my welding instructor with the materials we were using yesterday it's almost unimaginable that inhaling fumes caused my dis-ease. We were using 7024 sticks on standard

Actually I know I'm sick. I just don't know if it's the normal viral/bacterial sick or if it's welders flu. Welders flu is what you get if you're a dumbass and weld without ventilation or have your head

Once again, I've had an idea for Steem that I would love to do, but sadly don't have the time to properly devote to it. So, since this epiphany occurred to me while I was driving, I stopped off at a Wendy's

My welds are still far from professional, but they're coming along. Those breaks you see are intentional. I was trying to get used to adjusting my travel speed at the same time as my decent rate. More

So on the face of it, it's just a less useful version of peerplays right? Well, maybe. See that boxed portion of text? That set off my scam sensors. Active key? Nope. PASSWORD. There's no legitimate reason

I have now read chapter 4 again (entitled Welding Symbols) and completed the review and test questions. Mind you, these don't get turned in or checked by the teacher, they're for our own self testing.

So I published my weekend todo list with my last update, of course, todo lists are living documents, so things have been added to it. I have a lot to do, and I need to get back in the habit of posting

So at first it was just a mild bout of depression, then I got busy. Very busy. This post was supposed to have gone up yesterday afternoon, but I fell asleep on the keyboard. No joke, I had a 1MB text file

I've been not posting for longer than I'd like. I had posts written and scheduled to go out for the last two weeks, as well as lots of drafts, but my phone are them, and they haven't come back after reboot

Some friends of mine in PA are letting me stay in their RV until the first week of August or so. While there, I've put a new fire pit in. I'm also repurposing some pavers into a half-walkway from the driveway,

I've been working up in no cell phone service land, and while I've drafted several posts, nothing is ready quite yet. In the meantime, this is my dog Coop. I bet you didn't realize he was an alchemist

THE CONTESTANTS: #1 @callme-pep #2 @rtdcs #3 @offgridlife #4 @bearbear613 #5 @spottyfox The Die of Fate! *This is a tested true random d5 from GameScience. I bought it about six years ago and this is my

I've been a bit distracted lately, and haven't been posting much. However halfway through writing what was going to be today's post I popped out for a smoke and browsed my feed using eSteem. I came across

So I've hit another goal, and I promised to explain my mini fixation on the number 255. Like many things in my life, video games are to blame. In this case it's The Legend of Zelda. The first one. For

So I've been busy today. Past few weeks actually So I check my SteemVoter account and see that I'm not using all my available slots. So! A mini contest is in order! The Loot: The winner will get my free
