[Movie] Milada

If you have Netflix and search carefully, ignoring the recommendations, you can find good movies. As I've already said, out of every hundred mediocre films, you'll find one or two worthwhile ones, and this is one of them. While it's not a masterpiece, this film should be required viewing.

Films like this shouldn't be forgotten. Nor should the story it tells. I would recommend it as required reading for students with critical thinking skills, to counteract the infamous leftist propaganda they receive daily in schools and universities. We need more films like Milada, which show how communism and all its derivative leftist ideologies are a plague that, even today, in the 21st century, continues to spread and destroy lives.

The film is a simple yet instructive biography of a woman who should be considered a heroine, a woman who first suffered humiliation, mistreatment, and abuse at the hands of the Nazis in a concentration camp, and then received the same treatment from the communist regime because she didn't fall into the trap of the leftists, she wasn't seduced by communist propaganda, she didn't believe in the supposed fight for the people while all their freedom was being taken away.

Her name was Milada Horáková, and this film recounts her life with the sole objective of showing the reality experienced by a country—in this case, Czechoslovakia—which, under Stalin's communist regime, persecuted anyone who thought differently. It all feels very familiar to me. I'm not Czech, nor did I live through that era, but I'm from a country that has also been under a regime called 21st-century socialism for 27 years, where, just as under communism, our freedom was taken from us, innocent people were imprisoned, innocent people were murdered, and they continue to do so.

Perhaps because everything feels so close and similar to situations I've lived through and witnessed in my country, this film has deeply moved me and reaffirmed my ideals. Fortunately, I was never deceived by the left, even though I was part of a theater group where most of the members were proponents of that ideology. I realized that all of that actually concealed dark interests aimed at subjugating us. As Milada Horáková says in one scene: Communism is the new Nazism.

Of course, you won't hear about Milada Horáková among the radical feminists who populate the world, especially in Europe. She was a true fighter. For me, she was a true feminist; she helped not only women, but entire families, and no one could break her spirit. They couldn't.

We need more films that show the horrors and deaths at the hands of leftist ideologies. There has been a great failure in this area. The global film industry is beholden to progressives, who flood us with propaganda films promoting their ideas, using social engineering to make us believe that leftists are the good guys and those of us who think differently are the bad guys. We need more films like Milada.

The film's director is David Mrnka. I already follow him on social media. I admired his courage in making this film. I was even surprised that he secured funding, including from Netflix, which is dominated by progressives. For now, it's the only film he's made. Could it be that after this film, they didn't want to finance any of his other projects? It's possible. Many fear films that depict the reality of the horrors committed by the left throughout history. I did some research online, and the film is a co-production between the United States and the Czech Republic, which is why it's in English. The Czech production company is called Loaded Vision Entertainment, and it's the only film they've made so far, and it's been almost 10 years. It's a shame. I hope they're encouraged to continue with another historical project that teaches us more about the history of that country during the totalitarian communist regime.

The lead actress is Ayelet Zurer, who plays Milada. She does an excellent job. If her face seems familiar, it's because she plays Wilson Fisk's (Kingpin's) wife in the Daredevil series. She does a splendid job as that social activist whose name and actions should never be forgotten.

I recommend the film; look for it on Netflix. You have no excuse; it's the platform of choice for most people. Let me know what you think.

Como ya he dicho, de cada cien películas mediocres, encontrarás una o dos que valen la pena, y esta es una de ellas. Películas como esta no deberían caer en el olvido. Tampoco la historia que cuenta. La recomendaría como lectura obligatoria para estudiantes con pensamiento crítico, para contrarrestar la infame propaganda izquierdista que reciben a diario en escuelas y universidades. Necesitamos más películas como Milada, que muestren cómo el comunismo y todas sus ideologías izquierdistas derivadas son una plaga que, incluso hoy, en el siglo XXI, sigue extendiéndose y destruyendo vidas.

Quizás porque todo se siente tan cercano y similar a situaciones que he vivido y presenciado en mi país, esta película me ha conmovido profundamente y ha reafirmado mis ideales. Afortunadamente, nunca me dejé engañar por la izquierda, aunque formé parte de un grupo de teatro, donde la mayoría eran agentes de esa ideología. Me di cuenta de que todo eso en realidad ocultaba oscuros intereses para subyugarnos. Como dice Milada Horáková en una escena: El comunismo es el nuevo nazismo.

Por supuesto, no oirás hablar de Milada Horáková entre las feministas radicales que pueblan el mundo, especialmente en Europa. Ella fue una verdadera luchadora. Para mí, ella era una verdadera feminista; no solo ayudaba a las mujeres, sino a familias enteras, y nadie pudo doblegar su espíritu. No pudieron.

Necesitamos más películas que muestren los horrores y las muertes a manos de las ideologías de izquierda. Ha habido un gran fracaso en este ámbito. La industria cinematográfica mundial está sometida a los progresistas, que nos inundan con películas propagandísticas que promueven sus ideas, para realizar ingeniería social y hacernos creer que los izquierdistas son los buenos y que quienes pensamos diferente somos los malos. Necesitamos más películas como Milada.

Incluso me sorprendió que consiguiera financiación, incluso de Netflix, que está dominada por progresistas. Por ahora, es la única película que ha realizado. ¿Será que después de esta película no quisieron financiar ningún otro proyecto suyo? Es posible. Muchos temen las películas que muestran la realidad de los horrores cometidos por la izquierda a lo largo de la historia. Investigué un poco en internet y la película es una coproducción entre Estados Unidos y la República Checa, por eso está en inglés. La productora checa se llama Loaded Vision Entertainment, y es la única película que han hecho hasta ahora, y ya han pasado casi 10 años. Es una pena; espero que se animen a seguir haciendo otro proyecto histórico que nos enseñe más sobre la historia de ese país durante el régimen comunista totalitario.
