Happy Market Friday — on Saturday, which seems to be the day I manage to get to it! Market Friday, hosted by lovely and delightful @dswigle, is one of my favorite communities on Hive. Check out the community and tag, if you haven’t yet done so! You can meet people from all over the world and learn about markets, shops and fun excursions — wherever and however currency changes hands!
This post is about my Friday shopping trip to Target. If you don’t have Target in your area, I’ll just say it is a large supermarket chain that sells clothes, toys, jewelry, seasonal goods, household items, cards and gifts, etc. etc. And some also have a complete grocery store. Those are called Super Targets.
On this particular occasion my husband and I went to do some grocery shopping. Normally I do it on my own, as he absolutely hates shopping (no clue how he survived as a bachelor). But since I’m recovering from breaking my foot, and subsequent foot surgery, I cannot actually shop by myself!
It’s the end of the Halloween season (i.e. October), and I decided to grab pictures of the Halloween decor while I had the chance!
I love this time of year and normally have decorations and lights and pumpkins everywhere around my house! Since I couldn’t do that this year, I was happy I could get my Halloween fix at the store.
Look at the cute costumes!
And the baby clothes! I’m not a grandma yet, though I’m certainly old enough to be! Evidently my children believe the timing of having my grandchildren is totally about them and their timing!
Ha ha.
Can you believe these cute baby items?
Some of the shelves were starting to look a bit bare!
Oh my — I remember these cereals from my childhood many moons ago. I didn’t know they still existed!
Like all holidays, this one is an opportunity to merchandise everything around the theme and push a lot of treat sales!
Well that’s it for the Halloween pics. Now for the selfies. For people like me who can’t get around on their own very well, they have electric carts.
I resisted at first and went around the store on my kneeling cart, which is rather awkward and painful for going any distances. I was too embarrassed to ride in the electric cart! I almost always see someone I know at Target. But at the end of our shopping trip I realized I didn’t have enough pics for my Market Friday post so I took the cart for a spin after all.
My husband also took an awkward selfie of us. He really is a good sport!
Thank you so much for reading my blog. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Halloween!
