Wednesday Walk - A little town by the water - Actifit: August 10 2022
Life is what happens when you’re making other plans, as they say! A book club friend and I were going to go see Where the Crawdads Sing, which is a movie based on a book we read. We got to the theater and the doors were locked. Not surprising, as the theater is barely surviving and the management isn’t great.
Anyway, it was all for the best. We were in a darling little town on the water that has great little restaurants and sidewalk cafes, and we grabbed some food and cocktails and then went walking. It was a gorgeous summer night!
We had someone take our picture with the boats in the background.
It was so lovely strolling along the water!
There was also a “music in the park” event going on nearby, so the whole time we were listening to a band playing The Rolling Stones and other great cover music from the 70’s and 80’s.
I just snapped one random (and terrible) picture as we strolled past the crowd.
There were tons of boats that had pulled up along the shore near the park to enjoy the music.
Shortly after that, my friend and I parted, but I had not gotten enough steps or exercise yet, so I headed to my favorite trail at another part of the lake.
The sun was setting, but I set off on the trail as I wanted another 5,000 steps.
There was a beautiful full moon!
I took one last look at the sunset colors over the water before heading back to my car. What an awesome day.
