The moon, the snow and the frozen marsh - Actifit: December 13 2021
Each winter I am captivated by the beauty of the snowy landscape at my favorite park. It is ever changing, depending on the temperature, the cloud patterns, the time of day and the quality of the snow.
One of the first scenes I came upon when I arrived at the park was a field of frozen cattails.
The sun was setting, so I needed to hurry along, but if you visit my blog again in the coming months, you will undoubtedly see me feature the field of cattails again!
There’s a broad road that circles the park. I started along it’s winding, meandering curves.
I then walked along some footpaths formed in the snow by hikers who had come before me, and found myself facing a beautiful field of snow, with a gentle white moon looking down.
Every direction I turned, there was a different beautiful snowy scene with bare, sleeping trees.
Then the colors in the sky began to turn, and the trees and snow and pathways became a wonderland.
Now the sun was setting for real. The pinks turned to oranges, and I felt warmed by the colors as I trudged through the snow.
