From Rooftop Duties to a Cricket Victory: A Day of Responsibility & Resilience

Alhamdulillah, every day brings something new into our lives. Sometimes there is a lot of work, sometimes we feel tired, and sometimes we get beautiful moments with friends that make the day memorable. Yesterday was also one of those days, and after that, today was all about cricket.

After playing cricket yesterday, I came back and opened my shop. I was already quite tired because of the cricket, but household responsibilities are important too.
My brother Bilal told me that I had to water the roof that day because the concrete roof slab was still fresh.
In the previous days, he had been doing it himself, but he had some other work that day, so I had to take this responsibility.
I closed the shop and went to the roof to water it. I properly watered the fresh concrete slab. Because of the heat and sunlight, I was feeling quite tired. After finishing the work, I decided to take some rest.
After resting for a while, I came back to the shop. One of our very good friends, Nauman Bhai, had cooked biryani at home, and he also sent some biryani to my shop for me.
These small acts of kindness really make you happy. Alhamdulillah, good friends are a great blessing in life.
In the evening, one of my friends, Raza Bhai, who works at Bank Alfalah, came to visit me.
I had some bank-related work, so I told him about it. InshaAllah, he said that he would help me get those things done.
While he was with me, our transformer suddenly stopped working in the evening. The WAPDA electricity staff did not come for the whole night, so we had to manage our work somehow with the help of a battery backup.
Because of the tiredness from the previous day and the electricity outage, I woke up a little late this morning. My phone battery was also very low, and the phone had switched off. I had gone to sleep early because I wanted to wake up early for cricket, but even then, I still woke up late.
Anyway, I got ready and reached the cricket ground. Alhamdulillah, the weather was also pleasant. There was a light breeze throughout the match.
Today, we had a 20-over match. We won the toss, and the opposing team decided to bat first.
Unfortunately, our fielding and bowling were not good today. We missed several opportunities, dropped catches, made mistakes in the field, and our bowling was also not up to the mark. The opposition took full advantage of our mistakes.
They scored 369 runs in 20 overs, giving us a huge target. One of their players played an incredible innings of 193 runs by himself. During his innings, we dropped around seven catches.
Today, that player was definitely very lucky, as he kept getting chances from our side.
But that is the beauty of cricket. The game can change at any moment, and the situation can turn around when you least expect it.
Despite such a huge target, we did not lose hope.
Alhamdulillah, our vice-captain, Waseem Malik, who opened the innings, played a very good innings. MashaAllah, both our captains showed a lot of courage and responsibility with the bat today.
Along with them, the other players in our team also showed great fighting spirit. In the end, we chased down the target in just 18 overs.
This victory was very special for us because, at one point, a target of 369 runs looked extremely difficult. But everyone played their part, we kept trying, and Alhamdulillah, we achieved the victory.
My own performance today was not very good. I was still carrying a lot of tiredness from the previous day, so I could not bowl much. I bowled only two overs, but Alhamdulillah, both of my overs went well.
I was also unsuccessful with the bat, and unfortunately, I dropped two catches in the field as well.
The match had become quite long, and at the same time, I also had to open my shop. It was around 11:30 when the match ended. After the match, I went home, freshened up, and then came back to open my shop.
When I reached the shop, there was still no electricity. The power had been out since the previous night, and because of the faulty transformer, the whole area was facing a lot of difficulty.
At that time, the WAPDA workers had arrived to install a new transformer. Later, around 12 o'clock, the new transformer was installed and the electricity was restored.
On one side, there was the tiredness from cricket, and on the other side, there were household responsibilities, followed by the electricity problem in the evening.
The past two days were very busy, but Alhamdulillah, these small responsibilities and challenges in life teach us many things.
I always try to fulfill my responsibilities, no matter how busy or tiring the day is. Whether it is cricket, household work, or running my shop, everything has its own time and its own importance.

الحمدللہ، زندگی میں ہر دن اپنے ساتھ کچھ نہ کچھ نیا لے کر اتا ہےـ کبھی کام زیادہ ہوتا ہے کبھی تھکاوٹ ہو جاتی ہے، اور کبھی دوستوں کے ساتھ ایسے لمحات مل جاتے ہیں جو دن کو یادگار بنا دیتے ہیں ـ کل کا دن بھی کچھ ایسا ہی گزرا، اور اس کے بعد اج کا دن کرکٹ کے نام رہا ـ

میرے بھائی بلال نے مجھ سے کہا کہ اج چھت پر پانی اپ نے لگانا ہے،کیونکہ لینٹر ابھی تازہ ہے،
پہلے کے دنوں میں ویسے انہوں نے خود ہی چھت پہ پانی لگایا لیکن اج انہیں کوئی کام تھا، اس لیے یہ ذمہ داری کل مجھے نبھانی پڑی ـ
شاپ بند کر کے چھت پہ پانی لگانے کے لیے گیا چلا،میں نے چھت پہ جا کے لینٹر کے اوپر اچھی طرح پانی لگایا ـ گرمی اور اور دھوپ کی کی وجہ سے تھکاوٹ کافی محسوس ہو رہی تھی، کام مکمل کرنے کے بعد میں نے کچھ دیر ارام کرنے کا سوچا ـ
ارام کے بعد جب واپس شاپ پر ایا تو سامنے ہمارے ایک بہت اچھے دوست ہیں نعمان بھائی انہوں نے گھر میں بریانی بنائی ہوئی تھی، اور انہوں نے میرے لیے بھی شاپ پر بریانی بھجوا دی ـ
ایسے چھوٹے چھوٹے کام دل کو خوش کر دیتے ہیں، الحمدللہ اچھے دوست زندگی کی بڑی نعمت ہیں ـ
شام کے وقت ایک دوست ہیں بینک الفلاح میں جاب کرتے ہیں ان کا نام (رضا) ہے ـ شام کے وقت رضا بھائی میرے پاس ائے ہوئے تھے ـ میرے بینک کے کچھ کام تھے میں نے ان کو بتائے تو انشاءاللہ انہوں نے کہا یہ اپ کے کام ہو جائیں گےـ
ان کے ہوتے ہوئے شام کو ہمارا ٹرانسفارمر خراب ہو گیا ـ جو کہ واپڈا والے پوری رات نہیں ائی اس وقت بیٹری کے بیک اپ سے ہی کسی طرح کام چلانا پڑا ـ
کل کی تھکاوٹ کی اور بجلی نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے اج صبح میری انکھ بھی کچھ دیر سے کھلی-کیونکہ موبائل کی بھی بیٹری لو تھی موبائل اف ہوا پڑا تھا ـ میں رات کو جلدی بھی سو گیا کہ صبح جلدی اٹھنا ہے لیکن پھر بھی لیٹ ہی اٹھ پایا ـ
بہرحال تیار ہوا اور کرکٹ کے لیے گراؤنڈ پہنچ گیا ـ الحمدللہ موسم بھی اچھا رہا ہلکی ہلکی سی ہوا بھی چلتی رہی،اج ہمارا 20 اوورز کا میچ تھا،ہمارا ٹاسک ہوا اور مخالف تین نے پہلے بیٹنگ کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ـ اج ہمارے فیلڈنگ اور بولنگ بالکل اچھی نہیں رہی ـ ہم نے کئی موقع ذائق کیے کیچ چھوڑے فیلڈنگ خراب کی بولنگ بھی بہت زیادہ خراب رہی اور مخالف ٹیم نے اس کا بھرپور فائدہ اٹھایا ـ

الحمدللہ ہمارے نائب کپتان وسیم ملک اوپنر کے انہوں نے بہت ہی اچھی اننگز کھیلی ـ ماشاءاللہ اج ہمارے دونوں کپتانوں نےکافی ہمت دکھائی بیٹنگ میں ـ
اور ان کے ساتھ ہماری ٹیم کے دوسرے لڑکوں نے بھی خوب ہمت دکھائی اخر کار ہم نے وہ میچ 18 اوورز میں چیز کر لیا ـ
یہ جیت ہمارے لیے خاص تھی کیونکہ ایک وقت پر 369 رنز کا ہدوف یہ دیکھ کر لگ رہا تھا کہ میچ بہت مشکل ہے، لیکن سب نے مل کر کوشش کی اور الحمدللہ کامیابی حاصل ہوئی ـ
میری اپنی کارکردگی اج کچھ خاص نہیں رہی پچھلے دن کی تھکاوٹ بھی بہت زیادہ تھی اس لیے مجھ سے زیادہ بولنگ نہیں ہو سکی میں نے صرف دو اوور کروائے لیکن الحمدللہ میرے وہ دونوں اوور اچھے گزرے ـ
اور جو کہ میں بیٹنگ میں ناکام رہا ـ
اور فیلڈنگ میں بھی میں نے دو کیچ ڈراپ کیےـ
میچ کافی لمبا ہو گیا تھا اور دوسری طرف مجھے اپنے شاپ بھی اوپن کرنی تھی ـ تقریبا ساڑھےگ بجے کا وقت ہو چکا تھا میچ ختم کرنے کے بعد میں گھر گیا پھر ایشور کچھ دیر بعد دوبارہ شاپ اوپن کی ـ
جب شاپ پر ایا تب بھی بجلی نہیں تھی رات سے ہی بجلی بند تھی اور ٹرانسفارمر خراب ہونے کی وجہ سے پورا علاقہ بہت زیادہ پریشان تھا ـ
لیکن اس وقت واپڈا والے نیو ٹرانسفارمر لگانے کے لیے ائے ہوئے تھے ـ
بعد میں تقریبا 12 بجے کے درمیان نیا ٹرانسفارمر لگا اور بجلی بحال ہو گئی تھی ـ
ایک طرف کرکٹ کی تھکاوٹ تھی، اور دوسری طرف گھر کی ذمہ داری بھی، پھر شام کے ٹائم بجلی کا مسئلہ ـــ
پچھلے دو دن بہت مصروف گزرے لیکن الحمدللہ زندگی میں یہی چھوٹی چھوٹی مصروفیت اور ازمائشیں ہمیں بہت کچھ سکھاتے ہیں ـ
میری کوشش یہی ہوتی ہے کہ چاہے دن کتنا ہی مصروف تھکا دینے والا کیوں نہ ہو، اپنی ذمہ داری پوری کروں کرکٹ ہو گھر کا کام ہو، یا شاپ کا کام، ہر چیز کا اپنا وقت اور اپنی اہمیت ہے ـ
