Do you ever feel like that? Someone very sweet and kind asks, “How was your day?” And what you want to say back is “It was a day.” But of course that is disrespectful and so you don’t say it. (Good for you!)
I worked a long day, which is not at all unusual, but finally packed up and left the office when one of the kids called me to inquire about dinner. So I scooted home and made dinner for our little hodge podge gang — two of the kids and myself (since my husband was heading out to the movies), and then my daughter and I went walking, and then shopping. Which was great because I needed 5,000 more steps.
