Apple picking with friends and family is one of my favorites.
The twisted branches of the old trees, the sweet apple air, and bright sunshine is part of a must-do fall outing.
Larriland Farm is family-owned and located in Howard County, MD, and is home to stretching rows of pick-your-own apples, peaches, nectarines, and berries. Throughout the growing season, the farm also hosts pick-your-own flowers, tomatoes, beets, spinach, cabbage, herbs, and pumpkins.
I've probably forgotten some of their crops, but you get the point - Larriland farm is a pick-your-own enthusiast's haven!
Larriland also gives quite clear instructions about how exactly apples should be picked: Lift up an twist.
We picked Empire apples while at the farm, and we had to 'Walk to Empire'. Hehe.
It's GOURD TIME!
All shapes and sizes, bumpy, smooth, inbetween, and curly. Larriland has gourds to please everyone!
Larriland also has a great area for picnicking and hanging out with friends. With towers of hay bales and autumn decorations, Larriland does a great job of opening its gates to the community and helping us to enjoy the outdoors and fall weather.
Hope you've enjoyed this glimpse into apple picking and fall at Larriland Farm in Woodbine Maryland.
