For nearly 10 years I was the editor of a gardening magazine. I had the privilege of visiting a lot of amazing gardens so I thought I would share one with you. This garden would easily have to be easily in my top 5! It's a tropical garden found in Brisbane, Australia that started out on 1 suburban block. As neighboring properties became available the owner bought 2 other properties giving him more space to play with.
While you're in the garden, you're clueless as to where the boundaries lie, it's a complete self contained oasis where the owners could be anywhere in the world and be completely oblivious to the outside world. There are paths that lead you into garden rooms with water features, ponds, statues, feature plants and more. Their planting selections are phenomenal with an amazing range of heights, colours and textures.

Around each turn you're always promised something new and exciting to make you want to keep walking further into the garden. The garden is thick and lush and when you've got a garden like this at home, who needs to go on holidays! Obviously there is a strong Balinese theme here, the owners have traveled there regularly where they bring back all their own statues and artifacts.
Plants are sourced and added regularly, not that you'd ever know as it feels like it has been here forever. There is always change happening in the garden which makes it enjoyable to keep re-vising again and again.
