That fateful day dawned gloomy. The sky was weeping as I went out to run my errand, in a hurry to finish before the downpour.

As I crossed the street, I didn't see the truck skidding across the rain-soaked road.

There was a horrible screeching sound and then darkness.

When I woke up, the world had changed. No one could see or hear me as I watched the ambulance arrive.

My body, lying mangled on the pavement, was covered with a sheet.

That's when I knew: Emiro's story was over, but I remained a ghost, with countless stories as yet unseen by living eyes.

Perhaps one day I would find a way to share my unfinished story with another soul.
