One of the harder things that I have been learning is that the good things in life tend to take time, sometimes less but sometimes a lot of time. I remember how years ago I was wanting to get into IT, was looking so desperately for any openings but did not find any. I started learning about the industry to prepare myself at least from the perspective of knowledge. The learning materials were so dry and boring that even with my drive to get into the industry it was barely doable. So many times I had left the study but then had come back. I don't believe that I finished all of the course work that was available within the 1 year mark but I surely got majority of it done. From the sheer amount of time and effort placed, was enough for me to show dedication and knowledge to the employer, so I got the job. This took close to a year.
Investing in crypto has been much the same story but with less obvious positive results. I can't say that I have earned a whole lot of money during these years. What I have learned is experience, change of my mindset, going from chasing yields and chasing the next thing, to focusing on more fundamental things and actually sticking with my plan that I set, rather than chasing action (still working on it).
At times I don't catch myself quickly enough on, sometimes action is just an excuse that I take to prove that I am making progress. Action itself is not proof of progress, correct action is. One way that I have found to know whether the action is correct, is to link back to the original plan + my core value (my 'Why'. my reason to be doing what I am doing). If the action I am taking/about to take is not aligned with my plan and values, chances are, it's all for nothing and simply chasing shiny objects/action out of greed or boredom.
Overall, it's important to keep going with your plans and dreams even if it takes a while to achieve. Something I ,myself, need to work on is reflect on progress made every so often (once a month or 3 months etc.) to understand whether the progress made is actually where I am needing to get. Whatever you do, keep going, focus on the process more than the outcome, the process brings the result. If the process fails, change the process until it gets refined to something that works and is repeatable. When the refinement is done, all you need to do is scale up.
