What a privilege it is to choose well who enters and who does not, in my life, in my mind and in my heart.
The fear of appearing insensitive can lead to hiding how we feel so as not to offend. At the moment we have built an aesthetic where there seems to be only room for pain.
But pain alone does not heal, pain alone does not help. Just because you seem moved doesn't mean you're helping.
How can we grow up and not stay in the superficiality of the moment? This question has been going around my head, and I think it's key to understand that on this path it's time to help, respect but not pretend.
Anyone who wants to laugh or celebrate good things that happen to him is not attacking those who had to suffer. There are ways to express it, there is a way to be respectful. But beyond appearances, the underlying issue is, if this matters to me, am I helping?
Because if you are helping you will need strength to do it for a long time, and if not... then, you have two options: either you help or you continue with your life without pretending something, just to avoid people's disapproval, s something like wanting to control the impossible.
Wanting to control the impossible only generates frustration. And even more so when we are faced with big issues or problems that do not have an easy solution.
Sometimes we want to carry on our shoulders more than we can. And in such circumstances it is time to stop and look with humility and attentiveness... what is in my hands? What depends on me? And to start there... because sometimes growing up doesn't mean changing everything, but daring to take a different step.
There are times when we begin to feel that we can live more calmly, relate better, make decisions more confidently and build a life that is more like what we want.
This path is not always traveled alone. Sometimes, letting ourselves be accompanied allows us to discover resources that were already inside of you, of me, of us, but that we still did not know how to use them.Because you learn to walk, walking. And every step we take towards each of us, also opens space for a fuller, more conscious and expansive life.
Sometimes you are not being difficult; we are simply stopping betraying ourselves in order to retain the approval of others. When you start expressing what you feel, setting boundaries and choosing yourself honestly, some people may feel uncomfortable... but that discomfort can also be the sign that you are regaining your voice, your dignity and the freedom to be who you really are.We don't have to keep shrinking to feel like we belong.
We just need some quiet time.
To face great challenges, it is necessary to start in parts. And yet, to recognize that there are many things that will be out of our reach, no matter how much that lesson of humility hurts us in the soul.
