How do You see life? Even when we are broken, we become art when we are in front of the right person.
There are relationships that seem to have a future... but only because one keeps them connected to the current.
One writes, proposes, asks, organizes, remembers, reopens the conversation... and when the man answers nicely, one thinks: Yes, he cares about me. Yeah, he probably cares about you.
But caring about someone doesn't always mean that someone is willing to build something with you. And that clarity saves months of confusion.
Interest is not measured solely by how well a man responds when you show up. It is also measured by what it does when you are not moving anything. Is he or she looking for you? Do you propose? Concrete? Does it hold? It's like being,... without being...
After one becomes an adult one learns that reciprocity is key in relationships. If every time you release the lever everything turns off... that's enough información... if you neglect a person, you lose him. Even if you keep seeing her in front of you. You see her, but she's gone. Because it is not enough to see to have. You have to feel too.
Sometimes life confronts us. This reminds me of the chair theory, and this left me thinking about the following: one can love a person very much and still not have an important place in his life. How hard is it to accept that situation…
One sometimes confuses history with importance, habit with affection, words with presence. But I'll tell you one thing, the place we occupy in someone's life is not guessed. It shows... I mean, it's obvious.
It also made me think about our own table. Because we are very good at checking who gives us space, but we don't always look at who we are giving it to.
There are people who have been sitting there for years simply because they have always been. And there are others who, with very little time, have shown more care, more presence and more love.
At this age, after 60, I think one is no longer to have a full table for having it full. It's to have people around who really know how to be. It's like living in cages that even if they are made of gold, they are still cages. You may be a lion, but if they give you chopped food and water, you are no longer the king of the jungle. And as that process progresses you will become more dependent on the one who “gives you everything”. I can say with certainty that comfort is the enemy of growth, and especially if it robs us of freedom.
The family and friends who are staying when we are in a really difficult moment, those are you people, the people who surround us when we have already passed the mature age after we have reached the golden years and more...
