In the end, my country and my life need me complete, whole in one piece, and as long as I don't understand it, I could run the risk of looking for me without finding me, maybe believing the story that everything is fine.
It's a sterile fight...
In my country Venezuela, things are not being easy, because we are in the middle of the limelight, with a high degree of anxiety about this situation of political, economic, social instability. The fundamental thing is to take care of ourselves, take care of our mind, protect our thoughts in order to continue living within the possible "normalcy".
That duality of living in two worlds is exhausting, what to one inside and out. Then something very ambiguous happens to us One feels guilty if one disconnects, but everything breaks, if we stay hooked, in the country news. I think that mental health is also resistance, so we must disconnect to recover a little, our mental peace if what we want is to take charge of our life, this is what if we can control.
To seek to be well, to surround oneself with people in the same line of thinking as one and to move on without postponing our life waiting for something that we do not control generates a lot of anguish for us. It is necessary to find spaces to breathe and release so much negative stuff. It is also true that each thinking brain is so individual of reality from its perspective (it is a world), and not all people react the same, some are polarized with events, others are more resilient, and although all emotions are valid, what we should not do is fall into hopelessness or get extremely excited either.
We have to look for well-being while the situation in my country is taking its course. Taking breaks and detaching, it is necessary to take care of our mind and our thoughts, it is to let go of part of the world from other emotional places and not only from inside the country, which during the last 27 years we have had to live, since things in Venezuela are on another level.
The reality is that we Venezuelans are carrying the weight of a country, the responsibility of our own life, our job, the couple, the house, the head 🤯 and looking at a screen full of news that we can not control between hope and fear to get excited, the result is that we are everywhere and in turn in none and that mental wear and tear has a very high cost that is charged and paid with our concentration, in our mood, in how we got to our house, in how we sleep and in how we are with ourselves.
It is necessary, to do social media detox. Of course, it costs me, but it really is the best decision to return to oneself. At least it's working for me to relieve the burden of so much news about my country.
