Assalamu Alaikum. How are you? I hope everyone is well. Today I will share a poem with you. The main theme of which is, the river.
A thousand years ago,
In the lap of these icy Himalayas,
I was born.
I am a river, I do not have the nature of being in the lap of my mother.
I have flowed around the city, town, village, and wilderness
Once I was lost in the deep sea.
But I am not lost.
I have not disappeared anywhere.
I am a river, I am like that.
I have captured so much history!
How many names, how much fame, how much glory.
How many sorrows, hardships, and sufferings are in my memory.
The farmer's tears, the farmer's laughter,
I am the reason for both.
Sometimes the wives of fishermen worship me,
Sometimes they curse me again.
But what is my fault?
I am their mother!
Does a mother ever want the misfortune of her child?
This is a child, he takes trouble from me on his own will.
I provide them with water,
They drink and do other things.
They climb on my chest and go elsewhere.
I give them fish, snails, and mussels.
But they burn my chest,
They raise sand, and make me rough.
They pollute my water.
They throw chemicals and waste.
The river is as dear to us as a mother. The ultimate gift. The river never does us any good or harm. Yet sometimes we lose a lot to the river due to natural causes. It is not the river's fault. It is all our fault. Because we ignore, despise, and misuse the river day after day. Therefore, we are the main cause of all these natural disasters.
