Nepotism is a well-known but very harmful problem in our society. Nepotism means giving more privileges to one's relatives, friends or acquaintances than their qualifications. Many times, it is seen that while giving jobs in an organization, one's own people are taken instead of qualified candidates. In this, those who are truly qualified are deprived and the quality of the work of the organization also decreases. Nepotism is seen not only in the office and court but also in the field of politics, education and even small organizations. This trend gradually increases injustice and discrimination in the society and creates frustration and anger among people.

Talented and hardworking people are the most affected by nepotism. They study hard and acquire skills but in the end, they see that a relative of an influential person came and took away their opportunity. This breaks their hearts and many want to go abroad without seeing a future in their own country. In this way, a country loses its talented human resources. On the other hand, those who get opportunities through nepotism are often not responsible for their work because they know that their position does not depend on their qualifications but on their relationships. As a result, the overall development of the institution and the country is hampered.

Nepotism is seen as a big problem in politics. Many times, it is seen that a leader appoints his family members to important positions after coming to power. This breaks down the natural structure of the party and the state and damages the basic principles of democracy. The common people then feel that their votes or opinions have no value because all decisions are predetermined. If this situation continues for a long time, people distrust politics and they lose faith in the state. Therefore, it is important to take a strong stand against nepotism in order to build a healthy democratic society.

The impact of nepotism is also seen in the field of education, which is very worrying. Sometimes there are allegations of irregularities in admission tests or teacher recruitment where the children or acquaintances of influential people get benefits. As a result, merit is not evaluated and people's trust in the education system decreases. When a student sees that despite working hard, he is not getting fair results, his interest in studies decreases. In this way, the knowledge-based development of a nation is gradually hampered. Therefore, it is very necessary to prevent nepotism to keep the education system transparent and fair.

To eliminate nepotism, first of all, people's mentality must be changed. We must understand that giving unreasonable opportunities to our relatives may feel good temporarily, but in the end it is harmful to society and the country. The government must enforce strict laws and ensure transparency in the provision of appointments or opportunities. Along with this, the media and the general public must also be aware and protest if they see injustice.

When people are evaluated on the basis of merit, only then will a just and developed society be developed where everyone gets due respect for their hard work and unfair practices like nepotism will gradually disappear.
