@earn.hive just sent me a sketchy-looking wallet transfer offering an even more sketchy-looking "opportunity."
For the love of all that is righteous, don't trust people who act like politicians and try to buy your vote. Have some dignity. Instead, find people who are doing something good for the blockchain and who have been here long enough to build a real reputation in the community. @blocktrades,
@roelandp,
@themarkymark,
@yabapmatt, and
@ocd-witness are just a few of the folks I support. Just click that link, scroll down, and check the left column for the witness list.
I try to keep an eye on them and make sure they earned my support and remain active. If they do something I think is sketchy, I remove my vote. If I see someone outside the top 50 who seems to be doing something worthwhile, I'm willing to support them. It doesn't mean much either way, but I try to do my part.
Is that too much work for you to handle yourself? Honestly, that's understandable. You can instead set someone else as your proxy. I suggest using the native HIVE wallet site. Scroll to the bottom and enter another user you trust. Even me, if you're crazy.
If you want a passive income, I suggest delegating Hive Power to @curangel. I do. They actually do good work. Why not follow them and see what they curate? You might find someone new with content you can't believe you lived without!
Edited for better flow. Still not entirely happy. Oh, well.
