Hello #Foodies!! For an easy Wednesday dinner this week we baked up some sweet potato fries and seared up some meatless chorizo. Covered with a copious amount of cheddar cheese the 'cherry' on top was a quick candy of fresh jalapenos.
I of course can't take any credit for this as my kitchen skills don't extend much beyond a microwave meal or a quick frozen pizza. And I do love me some frozen pizzas. They've come a long way, BTW!
The meatless chorizo had me a bit leery at first but the taste was spot on. Consistency was that of chicken maybe. A weird chicken? The jalapenos had a great flavor but could have used a bit more sugar in the brine, this was offset slightly by the inherent sweetness present n the fries.
I normally would have done something like a healthy side dose of ketchup for these or even some kind of hot sauce but leaving them 'as is' really helped accentuate the flavors that were already present.
