En esta ciudad lo que sobran son restaurantes y puestos callejeros de comida rápida, pero como las zonas turísticas no son lo fuerte de Maturín, tenemos que hacer turismo gastronómico para seguir con nuestra búsqueda de las mejores hamburguesas, ya que hemos terminado por ahora con las pizzas.
This city has no shortage of restaurants and fast-food street stalls, but since tourist areas aren't Maturín's strong suit, we have to go on a culinary tour to continue our search for the best burgers, since we're done with pizza for now.
Lo primero que debo decir es que la sucursal de Tipuro es muy bonita. Las instalaciones son bastante amplias, los espacios están limpios y la decoración es elegante. El baño no estaba en condiciones óptimas, por lo que podría ser una oportunidad de mejora. En cuanto al servicio, el chico que nos atendió fue muy amable y educado, no podemos quejarnos.
The first thing I should mention is that the Tipuro branch is very nice. The facilities are quite spacious, the areas are clean, and the decor is elegant. The restroom wasn't in the best condition, so that could be an area for improvement. As for the service, the young man who helped us was very friendly and polite—we have no complaints.
Ahora sí, vamos con lo que nos interesa: la comida. Mi esposo se pidió una hamburguesa de pollo y yo una de carne. Ambas llevaban lechuga, pepinillos, beicon, queso cheddar, cebolla caramelizada y salsa casera. La de carne cuesta 8 $ y la de pollo 9 $, e incluyen patatas fritas. Solo puedo decirles: ¡vayan a probarlas! La verdad es que están riquísimas: el pan es esponjoso, la carne está jugosa y la cantidad de proteína, en nuestra opinión, es perfecta. Fue una excelente opción y a un precio bastante razonable.
Now, let's get to what we're really here for: the food. My husband ordered a chicken burger and I ordered a beef burger. Both came with lettuce, pickles, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and homemade sauce. The beef burger costs $8 and the chicken burger $9, and they both come with fries. All I can say is: go try them! They’re truly delicious: the bun is fluffy, the meat is juicy, and the amount of protein, in our opinion, is just right. It was an excellent choice at a very reasonable price.
Por otro lado, mi amigo pidió una milanesa de pollo frita con ensalada César y papas fritas por 10 $. Nos dijo que estaba rica, pero que la cantidad de ensalada era reducida y que podrían poner un poco más.
On the other hand, my friend ordered a fried chicken milanesa with a Caesar salad and French fries for $10. He told us it was delicious, but that the portion of salad was small and they could have served a little more.
Mi amiga pidió unos nachos gigantes, pero fueron la decepción de la noche. La consistencia de la carne era muy extraña, tanto que incluso dudamos de su procedencia. El queso cheddar era una mezcla aguada y sin sabor, y los nachos estaban más duros de lo normal. Fue una pésima opción. No los recomendamos.
My friend ordered some giant nachos, but they were the biggest disappointment of the night. The texture of the meat was very strange—so much so that we even wondered where it came from. The cheddar cheese was a watery, flavorless mixture, and the nachos were harder than usual. It was a terrible choice. We don't recommend them.
