In celebration of starting my first tarot set using minimalist sigils created in Adobe illustrator, here is a sample of what is to come. My goal is to create an entire deck utilizing minimal themes, and including the astrological and alchemical correspondences. The upper right of each card will feature a symbol which is prominent in the context of the card, while the foreground will feature a sigil which represents the concepts present in the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck and the Crowley-Harris Thoth deck. The meanings of the symbols are how I interpret the feeling and intention of each card. The hanged man is fairly self explanatory, though it might not be immediately apparent the significance of the cross. Since the theme is minimal design, I prefer to work in lines, rather than whole shapes. I will resort to using shapes in a few instances, but for the most part only circles.

Please enjoy this sample, as there are definitely more to come. The end product will likely be glossy black on matte black or dark grey. I'm excited to finish this project and share it with all of you!
