Yep, I am definitely ready for November to get here. I have to ride a motorbike to school 3x a week and if it is in the rain it sucks a bit, but it is definitely better than sweating through my clothes

I've heard that for playtime ESL jobs that Korea or Japan are the places to go to. It is n't just because the pay is so much better, but being a full time drunk part time teacher doesn't really fly over

other than qualified teachers, like teachers who would be allowed by their certifications to teach in their home countries, i feel like almost all teachers over here are seriously wasting their time. The

Old people get let go too, even though they are likely the most qualified out of anyone there.

I suppose they could try to go up and over like they did at the airport. That would be a massive undertaking though and the buildings are likely in the way.

I was just talking about this in another comment. It is truly bewildering that someone who cannot swim would enter the ocean more than just their ankles. It's darwinism I guess.

well I would rather not have that but people need to heed at least a little bit of the warning

over here in Thailand we have an issue with people who can't swim at all not respecting the sea as well. It's dangerous out there folks!

she looks liek she doesn't mind the process all that much :)

This isn't super related to your post but I notice that everyone on a motorbike is wearing a helmet. Is that law enforced really strictly? It isn't here.

I don't know how it is possible, but we don't really have a massive stray dog problem in Chiang Mai. There are a few in my neighborhood but they are looked after by a lot of people including me. I put

There are certainly a lot of children there. I guess most of the women in the picture are moms!

That is nice, and very clean too. Where are all the people? Do the Canadians have anything to do with this hill or is it just a name?

in order to report on that they would have to bust themselves and that is never going to happen. the corruption runs so deep here that there was the unveiling of an internal affairs of some sort, some

I don't know how people stick with that job especially the lower paying ones The only reason is the visa. Nobody with any actually worthwhile abilities is going to work a full time job over in Asia for

at least the ring road works pretty well... although I would say it is more like a crescent moon since it doesn't go all the way around

I did not know that. Do they sound good? Do you play? I used to and I always found nylon strings to be very hard on my sensitive fingers :)

I wish we had Thai. I have no use for Vietnamese but I do recall hearing people say that they were hopeful that it would be easier since they use the same alphabet as English. There have been a lot of

probably and this is going to be an issue since it isn't very often that we encounter Spanish speakers over this way and when you do, they normally aren't here for very long.
