I was just talking about this in another comment. It is truly bewildering that someone who cannot swim would enter the ocean more than just their ankles. It's darwinism I guess.

probably and this is going to be an issue since it isn't very often that we encounter Spanish speakers over this way and when you do, they normally aren't here for very long.

I agree with that. Some of the stuff in the canals here look more like school projects to give the kids something to do rather than actual talented artists. Spray paint isn't easy to find here either.
