Elephants! And roses
I finally managed to paint a long planned art work. Although this is more cartoony than I originally planned. It's a good practice.
I also tried out my new aquarelle watercolor and compared to the cake watercolors, the ones on tubes are way smoother. I like it
I finished one out of two:
💡The idea
This just came to mind. Baby elephants are so cute though they are gigantic. I wanted to do a play of contrasts where we see a delicate rose be in harmony with, well, a friendly giant. Both are beautiful but very uncommon together. The roses give out this relaxing elegance and the elephants give a playful, joyful feeling which makes you feel light even if they weigh half a ton maybe.
Here's some images and videos I've prepared.
After sketching you just mix and dab!
Kneaded eraser or gum eraser
Mixing and painting
Creating layers and shadows
Details and texture on the elephant
Then done!
I'm happy! The elephant is too lol! It was a good warm up. Will try and do the second one tomorrow maybe.
Let me know what you think!
Have a great day!
