Earlier this week I went out to gather more flowers. It was not my intent to buy a hibiscus, but when this giant hot pink beauty looked at me, well, I was smitten ! The bloom is SO big !
A couple of days later it stormed and that bloom was gone, but today when I signed off of work at noon, I saw it now had TWO more giant blooms. Of course they were facing opposite direction so I could not get them both nicely at one time, but still....I had to try anyway and this was really the best I could do.
Come a little closer.....
An hour or so ago we had a quick storm AGAIN ! It did not last long, but it rained BUCKETS !!!..... REALLY !! ... and look what it did to my pretty pink blooms ! Good thing I got at least the photos I did.... cause it's a little late now. WAH !
The storm also filled up the bird bath. At first when I was looking through my shots, I thought I had caught a bird flying near the tree tops in the reflection on the water..... then realized it was just a dead bug. Would you have figured that out if I had claimed it was a flying bird and stayed mum about it being a bug?
I don't have these in a new pot home yet, but since they had a few rain drops playing on them, a grabbed a shot of that too.

Do you remember these copper colored Jello molds from the 60s? You'll tell your age if you do ! Well.... I have this on my porch rail and.... since it had rain drops, I took one of that too.
It reminded my I hadn't showed you what I did with rest of them. The last house I rented was built in the 50s, solid, still in great shape, but the soffit over the knotty pine cabinets had silhouettes where some of these were hung for years, so I hunted till I found a set on ebay to match and I bought them and hung them there. When I moved here, I didn't have a soffit, so they have been stored, till I decided they would be yard art. LOL !
I originally thought I was going to make a clangy giant wind chime out of them, but later thought maybe I would spare my neighbors of that and one day on a whim, I went out and hung them on the outside of the back deck. I know.... it could fall in the tacky category, but I liked it, so there it is !
