The chikka time with Dad stretched until dinner. It's a bit funny that as if we had been away for so long when we were here on the 14th. Our chatty old man never runs out of stories to tell馃榿
Anyway, it rained heavily the whole afternoon and my plan to tidy up my lil garden didn't happen. It was already dark when the downpour stopped, so I went out, thinking I could clear some of the weeds, but I changed my mind because everything was wet, and I had already showered then.
So I took photos instead. The crawling weeds have overgrown the moss of rose, I nearly couldn't distinguish them馃榿
Meanwhile, the Alstro lilies, soaked in the rainwater, are budding and blooming. These plants are weather resilient. They thrive in both seasons. They don't require much care or attention, so they are perfect for the yard, especially since we come and go.
The Tree Philodendron's glossy and drenched leaves glistened.
And since we are driving back to DD after the morning mass today, the weeds would have to wait until next week. We plan to be back for them sooner or they will take over the yard again. It will be harder to clear them out by then.
It was just a month ago when I cleared them out.
But that's how it is. It's part of the joy of having one's own little space to make things happen. It's a package, kinda.馃槉 And the shrubs along the street above our BC home need trimming too.
And yes, the sky is gorgeous. Sunny Sunday, yay! Guess it's a good chance to take our LilGuy for a run at the school oval. He'd definitely go wild. It's been quite a long while since his last marathon.馃槄
