Cheesy moment.

I grew up in a hard working, family environment. My parents sacrificed so much to make sure my brother and I didn't feel the struggle...but the struggle was very much there and very much real.

They both worked multiple jobs, and put up with treatment from others that would've made me end up in jail but they never lost sight of the big picture...of what mattered....of what was important to them.

Which was us.

Everything they did was for my brother and I.

And everything they went through and surpassed was for us.

I wish I knew how many paychecks they had to save from to get me this. I wonder what they went without to save up the money to buy me this.

All I know is that my geek self saw this at a friend's house, played with it...and wanted one...and I got one.

And to this day, whenever I think about computers, I always remember my first. The mothafuckin commodore 64.

My parents probably had no idea what they were buying or what I would get out of it, but the fact that I wanted it was enough for them.

I wish everyone had parents like mine.
