After returning to Beecher's Hope, I explored the upgraded ranch, checking out the new millstone and fully furnished house. After watching Jack and Uncle banter, I sat down for a peaceful family dinner with the family, thinking I may never bring myself to uninstall this masterpiece.
Watching the credit scene unfold with John and Abigail at the ranch was a great way to open this segment. Abigail mentioned that John bought a millstone with the money he used to clear their debts.
Honestly, Abigail's updated look really caught me off guard, with her hair styled differently, she looked noticeably prettier, though John is still rocking his wild, unkempt hair. I guess it falls on me to take him to a barber eventually to fix that up.
I took a walk around the property to inspect everything John had bought. Seeing the ranch expand over time feels super rewarding after all the work put into building it up. The new millstone structure is huge, and I loved seeing the little character interactions around it.
Jack was sitting nearby reading a book, while Uncle kept taunting him, cracking jokes that reading English doesn't make him brave. Jack was eager to chat with the old man anyway and went over to talk.
I tried to see if I could climb up the ladder on the new structure, but couldn't, so I moved on to explore the rest of the grounds.
Checking behind the main house, I spotted the loyal white horse I stole during that intense fight against the Skinner brothers. I also found the small dog house built for Rufus and a neat little outdoor seating area for relaxing.
The house itself looks completely transformed compared to the raw frame we built earlier. With Abigail back and taking charge, the interior is nicely furnished, clean, and actually feels like a home.
Stepping into Jack's upgraded room, I was really impressed by how detailed and cozy it looked.
The highlight of the session was sitting down at the dining table. It was awesome to see the whole family gather around, with Abigail serving food and Uncle sitting right there as a permanent family member.
Once I finished eating, I left them to enjoy their meal in peace and stepped back outside. Even though the main story is wrapping up, there is no way I am uninstalling Red Dead Redemption 2 anytime soon.
The connection to this world is just too strong, so I am definitely sticking around to hunt down remaining side quests or just free roam across the map for as long as I want.
