After investigating the site, I spotted the bounty, Herman, who immediately fled. Chasing him down, I tackled and hogtied him before carrying him to the Blackwater police department. Despite his claims of innocence, I locked him in a cell, collected my reward from the sheriff, and enjoyed a peace time by the shore.

Reaching the search site, I began looking around for the target. Surprisingly, I spotted the bounty standing right out in plain sight without making any effort to hide.

The second he caught sight of me, however, he turned and sprinted away. I took off in full pursuit, chasing him through the area.

As John called out to ask if he was really willing to take a bullet for a routine crime, the bounty shouted back that there was no crime and begged me to stop chasing him. I kept pressing forward, telling him there was no escape, though he insisted on trying anyway.

John warned him that he could shoot him even if he preferred not to, prompting the man to yell that he was not a criminal and wanted no trouble.

Closing the gap at last, I leaped forward and tackled him straight to the ground. Held down on the dirt, I had options to choke, beat, or release him, but because I hesitated, he managed to break free and take off running again

Realizing he would not yield quietly, I gave chase once more and delivered a few strikes to subdue him. With the man compliant, I unholstered my lasso and hogtied him on the spot without any further trouble.

I hauled him onto my shoulder to transport him to the Blackwater Jail. The police department was not too far from our location, making for a quick trip into town. But I still called for my horse, stowed him on the horseback and rode back to the police department.

As we arrived at the station, John remarked that Herman might need a rest, while the bounty protested that the whole situation was a mistake that would ruin his good name.

I carried him straight into the office while he continued to yell about his innocence. The sheriff instructed me to dump him inside an open cell, so I tossed him through the door and locked the iron grate behind him.

With the target secured, I turned my attention to the reward money the sheriff had laid out on the table. It was satisfying to pocket the hard-earned cash. As I grabbed the payment, Herman shouted from behind the bars that he saw the exchange, accusing me of taking money to falsify testimony against him.

Paycheck in hand and mission complete, I walked out of the jail, leaving Herman and the sheriff to argue inside.

With the night still young, I made my way down to the shore and let John light up a cigarette to clear his mind by the water. No, I don't smoke in real life, I can't even stand the smell, but I let John have some.

Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
