Doing concerts is what many of the music stars are getting into to earn more. That depends on the demands though. It is where money is, unlike selling music which the profits aren't too huge. Some of the music stars from more than a decade ago do residency where they will do series of shows, which became profitable for them. You might name Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, and a lot more who had successful residency in Las Vegas.
Older music stars will visit places where they haven't been to. Well, it makes me think, why now? When they are already not relevant, and even didn't come for a concert during their glory days, that says a lot. They are just up for the profit. Well, expect other artists who will do concerts in countries they didn't visit on their peak.
Meanwhile, there are some artists making a comeback with concert tours. They will release an album with concert ticket bundles. Well, some of those artists successfully went to number 1, however, longevity in the charts wasn't guaranteed. Just recently, Jonas Brothers had a massive number 1 debut, which was helped by the bundles. Even Celine Dion scored a number 1 album with her latest, however, a massive drop to number 111 the following week.
Some artists made a huge comeback like the Spice Girls, which is among the most profitable for 2019 despite only a few series of concerts. Westlife also had a successful comeback concert, as well as the Backstreet Boys.
There are some artists out there who makes hundreds of millions from their concerts. Think about Taylor Swift, Madonna, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and others who consistently rakes a lot of money from their concerts. Their earnings were actually made from successful concerts.
Many loves to go to concerts. It is a way for people to entertain themselves. But there are some others who ended up disappointing fans because either they come up late, or too late to announce cancelation. Well, there are things that cannot be controlled, while at times, some artists doesn't care about what their fans will feel.
