We recently had extreme floods—the worst I have ever experienced. After more than a month, the rainfall has finally ceased, and we're now experiencing extreme heat. I can say it has a 'summer feel' due to the high temperatures.
I think one of the contributors to the heat we're experiencing now is the lack of trees for shelter. In the pictures, there used to be a lot of trees, but hundreds of them were uprooted. There are newly planted seedlings, but it will take years for them to grow into mature trees.
