Gain of function pilot study
In the middle of the dream,
least wakeful memories
twist our seams.
Least the the ill wind
of mischief blows.
Hold on to this world’s
fair grace,
hold onto the sweet times
and how they taste.
We’re the least of the batch,
so, very, detached.
It’s a study of souls,
of roles,
of minds,
of mind.
only guinea pigs submit
but, then, there’s value,
a functional gain.
A test we can pass
if we, simply, outlast.
