Walking Around Barquisimeto
Although I have had the opportunity to visit several parts of the country the truth is that I know very few cities in the western region, for one reason or another this area of the country has been somewhat elusive to me and I have only been able to enjoy it when I cross its lands by roads or highways, to tell the truth the cities that are located here are unknown to me and therefore generate a great curiosity, as I would like to know what their streets hide and what stories can give us their squares, museums and buildings. This is how I come to tell you very quickly how was my brief visit to the city of Barquisimeto, a place widely known for its immense musical tradition and for the spectacular sunsets that can be seen over its skies.

Paseando por Barquisimeto
A pesar de que he tenido la oportunidad de recorrer varios puntos del país la verdad es que conozco muy pocas ciudades en la región occidental, por alguna u otra razón esta zona del territorio nacional me ha sido algo esquiva y solo he podido disfrutar de ella cuando atravieso sus tierras por carreteras o autopistas, a decir verdad las urbes que aquí se ubican para mí son desconocidas y por lo tanto me generan una gran curiosidad, ya que me gustaría saber qué esconden sus calles y cuáles historias nos pueden regalar sus plazas, museos y edificios. Es de esta forma como les vengo a comentar de forma muy rápida cómo fue mi breve paso por la ciudad de Barquisimeto, un lugar ampliamente conocido por su inmensa tradición musical y por los espectaculares atardeceres que se aprecian sobre sus cielos.
This city like many others has many icons, which are its letter of introduction nationally and internationally, but it turns out that my stay here would be extremely short, since it would be a trip of about 5 hours and where I would be in the twilight city just an hour and a half, since I only had to get to one of the many records that exist here to sign some papers and thus return to the city of Caracas, also traveled in an express bus, Therefore this is a vehicle that by its characteristics moves at high speeds and its windows are usually covered with curtains, which makes it quite complicated to enjoy clearly and accurately all the scenery around us, so I left behind the obelisk and other monuments that are at the entrance of Barquisimeto, of course I tried to photograph them but this was a really impossible task because the conditions were quite complicated.
Esta ciudad como muchas otras cuenta con numerosos íconos, los cuales son su carta de presentación a nivel nacional e internacional, pero resulta que mi estadía acá sería extremadamente corta, ya que se trataría de un viaje de alrededor de 5 horas y en dónde estaría en la ciudad crepuscular apenas hora y media, ya que solo debía llegar a uno de los tantos registros que aquí existen para firmar unos papeles y así volver a la ciudad de Caracas, además viajaba en un bus expreso, por lo tanto Este es un vehículo que por sus características se mueve a grandes velocidades y sus ventanas suelen estar cubiertas con cortinas, lo cual hace bastante complicado poder disfrutar de forma clara y precisa de todo el paisaje que nos rodeaba, es así como dejé atrás el obelisco y otros monumentos que se encuentran en la entrada de Barquisimeto, por supuesto intente fotografiarlos Pero esto fue una labor realmente imposible ya que las condiciones eran bastante complicadas.
Despite all this I tried to record in my mind as many images as possible because it was clear that this would be a whirlwind trip and very unlikely to be repeated, since in the near plans was not contemplated to return to these musical lands, but among so many failed shots, the bus stopped thanks to a traffic light and I was presented with the great opportunity to capture several images of the impressive Monument to the Rising Sun, which is an impeccable work of kinetic art, whose creator is the famous Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz Diez and where he sought to pay tribute to the beautiful Barquisimetanos twilight, it is also an artistic work that serves as an excellent road distributor, which greatly simplifies the circulation in the capital larence.
A pesar de todo ello intenté grabar en mi mente la mayor cantidad de imágenes posibles ya que estaba claro de que este sería un viaje relámpago y muy difícilmente se volvería a repetir, ya que en los planes cercanos no estaba contemplado regresar a estas tierras musicales, pero entre tantos disparos fallidos, el autobús se detuvo gracias a un semáforo y se me presentó la gran oportunidad de capturar varias imágenes del impresionante Monumento al Sol Naciente, el cual es una impecable obra de arte cinético, cuyo creador es el afamado artista venezolano Carlos Cruz Díez Y en donde se buscó rendir homenaje a los hermosos crepúsculos barquisimetanos, además es una obra artística que sirve como excelente distribuidor vial, lo cual simplifica en gran medida la circulación en la capital larence.
