English Version
Looking Down at the Floor
Usually, when you take a photo, you do so with your head held high, looking toward the horizon or using something at eye level as a reference point. But this time, I wanted to try something different; I took a few photos where the focal point is what lies beneath our feet. The ground we walk on, the stairs we use, and all those spaces that in one way or another support our weight sometimes hide interesting details, very unique nuances, and incredible textures.

Concrete, as cold and monotonous as it may seem, also has its own unique characteristics: uneven tones, imperfect finishes, and, generally speaking, an identity of its own—one that may have been shaped by its creator, but at other times has been the result of the passage of time. Furthermore, neither staircases, cobblestones, nor slabs are strong enough to remain unaffected by the natural forces surrounding them—forces that will always cause a unique form of wear and tear, leaving an indelible mark that, were it not for the hand of man, would always be transformed into something greater.
Perhaps this is a somewhat abstract idea. Perhaps it’s a photographic series born from a very specific moment in my life, but the truth is that all our minds are dynamic, and from an artistic standpoint, I believe that all ideas should be brought to life; some will be good, others perhaps not so much, but generally speaking, it’s always better to try, so that in this way there will be no room in our hearts for regret or doubt.
