驴Conoc铆an esta planta?

Two Colors, One Plant

Hello, dear Visual Shots community!

Today I'm sharing some pictures of a plant I came across and really liked because of its flowers. The interesting thing is that two varieties were growing in the same space: one with white flowers and a small pink center, and another with much brighter pink flowers.

It's commonly known as Madagascar periwinkle or simply vinca, and its scientific name is Catharanthus roseus. I didn't know all these names, so I took the opportunity to look up a little information about it.

It's a popular ornamental plant in tropical regions and can bloom almost all year round when conditions are favorable. Looking at it, I can understand why it's so often used to decorate gardens: its flowers have lovely colors that stand out against the green leaves.

I liked finding both varieties growing so close together. So I took out my phone and photographed them to share with you.

Did you know this plant? What do you call it where you live?

The images are photographs taken with my mobile phone, and the English translation was done using DeepL Translate.
