A small part of the world in a tiny region of a country in a segment of a city street within a slice of time. Through the photographs, it all seems so bigger than the sum of its parts. When I looked at the buildings, I wondered about the historical developments, societal evolution, technological achievements, artistic breakthroughs, and more that had to take place for the city to take this final form.

I never imagined myself walking these streets, but well you know how life is, one day you're happy as a clam in your rabbit hole, and then next you're halfway across the world in the middle of an ancient place.

Who, what, when, where, how, why?... these questions came to mind as I wandered the cobbled streets and encountered one astonishing sight after another. It's almost too overwhelming thinking about all the single moments, decisions, events that shaped the course of its growth.

I did not know which way to turn. Every sight beckoned further exploration, but I only had a few hours left to document centuries of history in a snapshot. Soon, I would catch a plane home. The city would change. My memories would fade, and years later, I would revisit my wanderings in the majestic city of Prague.
