My first Power Move in Calisthenics [ESP|ENG]
Greetings to all #swc hivers and colleagues, I hope you are all very well. Just as with the Front and the Straddle, I also aim at a power movement, yes, I am talking about the Hephaestus, an element criticized and praised by many, some say that it is easy to get injured training it and others say that if you train it in the correct way there is no danger. I am one of the latter, since as a coach (not just an athlete) I know that these types of high-level elements require time to achieve. So my view is "if you train properly, you won't get injured." Taking into account the technical aspects of this element we will be able to achieve it without any setback.
It is true that it can cause joint discomfort, but everything is adaptive, as time goes by we will develop the muscle mass necessary to protect the joint involved, in this case, the shoulder joint, rotator cuff, which is the one most common. suffer, or in case of being too impulsive and wanting to achieve this quickly, the biceps, specifically the tendons. I will leave you a description according to my knowledge of the element so that you have an idea of what I am talking about. Without further ado, I hope the information is useful to you. (DO NOT TRY THE TRICK AT HOME)
Practica regularmente, y ver谩s c贸mo mejoras poco a poco.
The Hephaestus is a calisthenics power movement that consists of performing a pull-up while hanging from the bar upside down horizontally with an underhand grip, and then, in the rise phase, performing a push-up with a reverse grip (Korean Dip ). The movement is completed when you return to the initial Korean Bottom position.
This movement is a challenge for the upper body, since it requires strength, power and coordination. The main muscles involved are the biceps, forearms, deltoids and pectoralis.
To perform the Hephaestus correctly, the following steps must be followed:
1. Position yourself under the bar with an underhand grip, hands at shoulder height.
2. Perform a pull-up, lifting your body until your chin is above the bar.
3. In the raise phase, perform a reverse grip push-up, raising your body until your lower back touches the bar.
Something that can help you are these points:
1. Start with a wide grip, and then narrow your grip as you gain strength.
2. Focus your weight on your feet, not your hands.
3. Keep your back straight throughout the movement.
Practice regularly, and you will see how you improve little by little.
The Hephaestus is a very attractive and demanding movement, which will help you develop great strength and power in the upper body.

Without more to add, I hope you liked the post and the routine too. It remains to remember that before each training session it is essential to warm up for at least 20 minutes, since this way we will perform even more in each training session. See you in a next post.
