Amigos de #Greenzone, estoy encantada de mostrarles un corazón poderoso y tan verde cono nuestra comunidad. Esta hierba sencilla y hermosa se llama Corazón de hombre.
Esta la encontré en el patio trasero de la casa de mi madre, asomando entre los muros humedos. Es de esas hierbas que nadie siembra pero que siempre están ahí. La conozco como corazón de hombre con mucha eficacia para los padecimientos urinarios. Y como no es tan frecuente, pues aprovecho que esta ya está crecidita para mostrarla.
En la literatura especializada se llama Peperomia pellucida. Que se conozca como Corazón de hombre se debe a su fortaleza como medicina natural.
Esta hierba es fascinante por donde se le mire. Sus hojas son lo primero que atrapa la atención. Tienen la textura de una tela de seda y la forma de un corazón perfecto, pero lo más sorprendente es que son translúcidas. Si las levantas contra el sol, puedes ver la luz filtrarse a través de sus venas, como un vitral diminuto y verde. Parece frágil. Crece en la sombra húmeda, junto al musgo.
Además de su forma hermosa 💚, es poderosa. El otro día mi amiga Lulu padeció una alergia persistente y luego de diversos tratamientos, y presencia de estrés, mi maestra espiritual le indicó hacer te con tres ramas de Corazón de hombre y beberlo como agua común. A los cinco días la alergia era solo un mal recuerdo.
Yo siempre he confiado en la sabiduría de los ancestros, y el poder de plantas como estas me sorprenden y demuestran que la naturaleza es sabia y poderosa.
El Corazón de hombre también calma el dolor de muelas, alivia las raspaduras después de una caída. Machacas un puñado de hojas hasta formar una pasta verde y fresca, y la aplicas sobre la lesión como un ungüento. La sensación de alivio es inmediata; el ardor cede y la inflamación baja.
La ciencia le da la razón a la sabiduría de mi Maestra espiritual. Resulta que el Corazón de hombre está repleto de compuestos maravillosos, antioxidantes, antiinflamatorios que calman el sonrojo de la piel y los músculos, y hasta propiedades que ayudan a combatir ciertos microbios.
No es magia, es química y poder de la naturaleza. El Corazón de hombre no es una planta llamativa, pero es sanadora y bella. Y veo este pequrño corazón verde que nos recuerda el poder de lo simple y así quiero que sea esta comunidad #greenzone.

I found this one in the backyard of my mother's house, peeking out between the damp walls. It's one of those herbs that nobody plants but that are always there. I know it as corazón de hombre, very effective for urinary ailments. And since it's not so common, I'm taking advantage of this one being already grown to show it.
In specialized literature, it is called Peperomia pellucida. The fact that it's known as Corazón de hombre is due to its strength as a natural medicine.
This herb is fascinating from every angle. Its leaves are the first thing that catches your attention. They have the texture of silk fabric and the shape of a perfect heart, but the most surprising thing is that they are translucent. If you hold them up to the sun, you can see the light filtering through their veins, like a tiny green stained-glass window. It seems fragile. It grows in damp shade, next to moss.
Besides its beautiful shape 💚, it is powerful. The other day my friend Lulu suffered from a persistent allergy, and after various treatments and the presence of stress, my spiritual teacher told her to make tea with three branches of Corazón de hombre and drink it like common water. After five days, the allergy was just a bad memory.
I have always trusted the wisdom of the ancestors, and the power of plants like these surprises me and shows that nature is wise and powerful.
The Corazón de hombre also calms toothaches, relieves scrapes after a fall. You crush a handful of leaves until you form a green and fresh paste, and you apply it to the injury like an ointment. The feeling of relief is immediate; the burning subsides and the inflammation goes down.
Science agrees with the wisdom of my spiritual Teacher. It turns out that Corazón de hombre is full of wonderful compounds, antioxidants, anti-inflammatories that calm the blushing of the skin and muscles, and even properties that help fight certain microbes.
