Hello!

These are not your regular rice sushi, but rather a mock sushi, I guess? The main ingredient is ground beef and it contains no sticky rice at all in the making :D

You can serve them with rice obviously, as a companion, or salad too, but they are good for snacking as is, with your favorite dipping sauce :D

  • 250 g ground beef
  • 1 long carrot
  • 2 Green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 fresh bird eye chilies, chopped or thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic, crushed or super thinly sliced
  • 1/4 onion, sliced or diced
  • a generous pinch of ground white pepper
  • a tsp soy sauce
  • a tsp sesame oil
  • salt or seasoning granules to taste (such as Magi brand)
  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 Nori (roasted seaweed)
  • cooking oil, for frying

  • In a bowl, combine all ingredients but frying oil
  • Take one nori sheet and lay it flat on a bamboo rolling mat
  • Pat ground beef mixture on nori sheet as shown on picture
  • Roll as you would do sushi.
  • Moisten end-side of nori sheet so it would stick, and fry roll on medium heat

  • Drain roll on paper towel, slice and serve immediately

Once I am back fully, I will resume my daily theme, so that it would be easier for you to find them :D Thank you!
