We're past the three month mark now and the garden is in full bloom. Alas! The carrots didn't survive as I thought they wouldn't.
Instead, we have seen incredible growth from the zucchini in the just the past few days. And the zucchini are growing where the carrots would have been anyway.

Tomatoes Keep On Coming
Our first tomato started on this Oregon Spring plant. Sitting in the front left of a 5 x 2.5 planter box, it sits nearest the townhouse. Sunlight leaves this spot in the early afternoon.
In the back middle sits this Red Cherry tomato plant. One of the later seedlings, it's catching up to the two Oregon Hybrid varieties which were planted earlier. It gets a little more sunlight in the middle.
The picture above shows an Early Treat Hybrid tomato plant. It sits in the front middle of the box but didn't sprout up after transplant.
I realized I didn't break up the roots on the bottom as I should have. Two Super Beefsteak tomato plants also struggled to properly vegetate.
Above is our second Oregon Spring plant sitting in the back right position. It gets the most sun of all and has the extra growth to show. This one's getting pretty bushy.
Basil & Mint
My wife brought these home in small planters from the store and I transplanted them last week. This time I didn't forget to aerate the bottom roots. Coming up next to the most shaded tomato plants, the basil and mint are reaching for the sky already.

One Zucchini, Two Zucchini & More On The Way
A mold disease has been making its way through our Hybrid Zucchini plants. Two of the transplants aren't growing nearly as well as the other three plants. I simply planted too many in this one area. Three would have been better than five.
Because of the mold, I had to remove several long stalked leaves. Despite the issues, we harvested a nice zucchini last week and two more are doing splendid.
It's hard to see the zucchini in the dark bottom of the first pic. The second close up shows it off much better. Below is another zucchini on a plant to the left.
Again, the close up shows more detail and a lighter thrown in gives some perspective. These two zucchini have tripled in size over the past four days. I wonder how big they'll get?
Limes Of All Sizes
We'll pull somewhere around 150 - 200 limes of this tree opposite our small garden. At least that's my best guess. Maybe it'll be more.
There are small, medium, and rather large limes mixed together on this tree. I don't if some are just budding later or if they'll ripen before they get big. Others don't seem to be having that problem.
Maybe these limes think they're supposed to be lemons? I don't know but we can't wait to enjoy their juicy goodness!
