As in,
In Germany, folks celebrate St. Nick’s day, when, just like Santa, a sneaky guy sneaks into your house. But also like santa, he gives you stuff. So it should be called st. givesyoustuff day.
Bada bing, you been punned… because, see. To nick something is to steal it, so I’m pretending that I don’t know it’s a guy’s name, and I think it’s a holiday about nicking things. I suppose I also could have gone the route of, like, nicking yourself with the razor. Or knickers. Too late.
