Sometime ago, on April Fool's Day, I made a statement on my post that I have reached 9999 HP on my 16th HivePUD but the real number was 9599.99 and four weeks (28 days) later, here it is, being delivered:
Whilst this may look small to some, for me it shows growth and the effort that I'm putting here on Hive on a day-to-day basis. This blockchain has my heart so I am dedicating most of my time on it. Since January of 2022, I've been coming every single day - doing transactions (i.e: creating contents, interacting, curating, staking and having fun in the process. There had been times when I chose to sleep less just so I could do more and there were occasions where the husband begged for me to give myself a rest, lol!
Those were the days and still are although these recent, real life often happens that my time on-chain is becoming quite limited yet I'm still coming and doing my daily grind, creating transactions as mentioned above.
Like what Taskmaster and Jon often say, keep showing up. I can call that the magic formula in case someone reading this is looking for one. Not all that though, you got to read through Jon's recent post, The Formula Revisited - How To Grow On Hive! But perhaps, there's the need to ask ourselves how long do we intend to be here (think long term), what are we trying to accomplish (goals), add fun to it and then do the work (showing up, doing what's necessary).
Reading one of Jon's (jongolson) #MyHiveGoals last year inspired me to dream. Although at that time I was already staking HIVE on a daily basis, I wasn't bold enough to create a lofty goal, one that can at least intimidate me. Did set 1200 Hive Power as my target HP in 2022 and it felt great to have ended the year with 7486 instead. That didn't just happen of course. It was intentional. I kept buying HIVE, staking and adding some more.
And we do learn, hence the challenged to reach 15k Hive Power before this year ends was made. I'm 5k HP away from that number. With 8 months to go (247 days to be exact), I would have to stake at least 20 HIVE daily (600+ a month) to be able to cross that goal off.
This is just the beginning and until then, the grind goes on... Today, I'm giving myself a pat on the back for 9999.99 has been delivered. And heaps of thanks everyone, for your continuing support. This wouldn't be possible without you. Salute!
Cheers!
