Right Now, I'm In A Peace of Mind.png

Over the past few days, I’ve felt pressured to meet my 2026 goals. I can’t say my dreams are impossible, but they require consistency, strategy, and determination. We can’t control time, but we can change the outcome and definitely navigate how we react. There are moments when my mind feels heavy, and you can’t blame me. However, what I did last evening gave me peace of mind. It might be a waste of time for some, but I can say it was the best thing I did.

Journaling

After taking a bath, I wrote in my journal about my daily accomplishments. I also wrote the things I need to improve, along with my daily tasks. Most of the tasks I write rely mainly on my “Weekly Goals.” Believe it or not, I feel like a failure when I don’t achieve something. However, I realized that I achieved many things that day that I failed to prioritize. I also listed my daily tasks, and I can say that I accomplished most of them.

Watching Music Videos

While journaling, I watched different music videos on YouTube. It’s been a long-time hobby of mine since I was a kid. There’s also a popular trend on social media right now called “2016 is the new 2026.” That’s why I rewatched my favorite music videos from when I was younger, like “Lean On,” “Closer,” and “Heathens.” It gave me a satisfying feeling and an escape from drama. After I finished journaling, I went to bed and watched more.

Reading a Book

Recently, I’ve been trying to finish The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. It’s frustrating that I can’t stay consistent because of my laziness. The seventh chapter of the book inspired me to write this blog, lol.

Moving on, that part helped me understand that we must sharpen the saw to achieve more of our goals. Based on my experience, I thought I needed to work nonstop with little rest to reach my goals faster. Then I realized I became disappointed whenever my analytics turned negative. He recommends working on four areas of life: physical, mental, social, and spiritual. I can say that I regularly work on two of them.

  • PHYSICAL – I play Just Dance for almost an hour to boost my heart rate, and I’m currently getting seven hours of sleep. I also avoid overeating, but I don’t starve myself.
  • SOCIAL – I love living alone, but I still communicate with friends and relatives whenever I can. This book aided me how to communicate effectively, especially we have different perceptions in life.

Spiritually, I attend church twice a week. In the book, though, it’s not about being religious. It’s also about asking yourself why you’re pursuing your goals. That’s why I journal daily now. It may seem like a waste of time, but it gives me clarity. That’s also why I watch music videos—they help declutter my mind.

Mentally, I write in my journal regularly. I’m also looking forward to watching more editing and writing content tips later. I also read 10 page of books daily and ensured that I understood the concept fully.

Thank you for reading.
