This time I’m bringing you a design for a new healer named Mia.
Because of her connection to nature, I wanted her to wear clothing more typical of an indigenous woman, although I understand if she looks somewhat more Caucasian. The truth is, she’s just a normal Latina woman.
She wears jewelry and accessories reminiscent of Holozing’s symbolism, as well as a tattoo of the logo on her forehead and other symbols characteristic of indigenous groups.
The clothing is primarily inspired by certain indigenous groups from Venezuelan tribes, such as the Kari’ña (especially their tunic and necklace, as well as some tattoos).
Mia is a somewhat libertine and carefree woman, and she’s obviously a forest-type healer.
As I said in the previous post, it’s important to add those small details after the base color and on a different layer from the line art.
Here I add some highlights and make her earrings practically shine.
I think that makes it look more magical and interesting.
I simply created the background by overlaying a leaf-texture brush.
This time, I feel it breaks too much with the Holozing esthetic, and that my designs are missing something.
But over time I’m going to try to make them better and better. For the next one, I’ve already got something pretty cool planned.
The software used for this drawing is Krita.
And this post was translated from Spanish to English with QuillBot.
Thank you very much for watching! 💚
