Las Vegas, my land of opportunity. I arrived at one of the busiest casinos and I love hitting the old slot machines, my favorite. I've waited for this day I'm feeling lucky today.
Found a rusty old horseshoe at the park, I took it. Hotel room no 8, took that as well. Of course, my "always with me Rabbit's foot keychain" that I can't live without, with me. Now, what could go wrong today? I'm gonna be rich.
I took one of them "Royal slots" or I'll like to call them that, the one at the center-right. These slots have the highest chances to hit the jackpot and today is the day it is most likely to hit two of the four. Took me 5 years just to study them to get it right. I won twice so far and I'm gonna bag it today. The security can't do a thing to me cuz I ain't breaking the law. But after this haul, they will blacklist me in this casino for sure. Well, today is my last so it doesn't matter at all.
I had my arm on the arm of the slot and just as I was about to run it, an old lady sat on my right. She is keeping a keen eye on me, indirectly. Glancing on my side, I can feel them on me and I haven't started. Well, whatever... let's just do this.
Cranked down the arm... annnnd? Nothing? I'll give it a go again. Again...and...Hmm, a double only. well moving on to the next one.
I got off my seat and a few feet after, [TING][TING][TING][TING]
How the...? Who the...? My last slot rang and the winner was the old lady. That sly.....clever girl.
She was glad, she turned to me and said, "I'm just lucky.", then she snickered a little.
OOOOHHH NO. She was just waiting. She is not gonna take my big break from me. She is busy with her win.
However, I made my move to the next one and so did she. Sat down on the next slot and she sat beside me.
(Oi!! Not again!!!) I was screaming inside. She is still watching me. Does she know me? Or my plan?
Okay, I'll just pretend to move to another booth. Okay, so far so good.
Then I turned and came to my chair back again. And so did she.
